Paper Crafts

Paper crafts can be simple, complex, cheap or expensive. The possibilities are only limited to what the imagination can dream. They are also some of the most appropriate crafts for kids. Everything from rubber stamping to origami can be created with simple paper and not necessarily a lot of it. The tools and methods are as old as the invention of paper itself and it can be used for much more than writing and drawing.

There are many different paper crafts that can be done and each one can use a different type of paper. Paper can be thin and lightweight, such as rice paper which is great for origami, or it can be thick archival quality which will last for years. They can be long lasting crafts or simply meant for entertainment and discarded quickly.

Paper crafts such as card making are a great activity for kids and allow them to express themselves in many different ways. They can be decorated with any number of additions from glitter to cotton balls. Rubber stamps can be used to add patterns and different colors and this can be combined with any number of other techniques. They can be folded and cut turning the paper into snowflakes or strings of people.
