Craft Tools
Craft tools are used to complete many different projects
and crafts. There are a lot of different tools that can be used for
many different tasks. Tweezers, scissors and wire snips are common in
most craftsmen’s tool box along with other items such as leather
or brass punches, a wood burning pen, brushes and magnifying glasses.
Hammers, nails, screwdrivers and screws are also common.
While most craft tools are simple hand tools there are many power tools
that are used to complete larger projects. A circular saw, miter saw,
and jig saw can be used to shape wood into the correct shapes and lengths
before being assembled. Electric sanders make short work on large pieces
of unfinished wood and Dremel tools can be used for a wide variety of
tasks from polishing to carving.
While many craft tools can be found at hardware stores, the smaller
more precise tools are typically found at a craft specific store or
a hobby shop. Jewelers often have very small tools as well although
they are often not for sale. Most tools are durable and will last for
many years if not a lifetime when they are taken care of. They can be
sharpened for a longer life as well.
