Craft Ribbon
Pretty craft ribbon ideas include making classic sachets
and ribbon roses. You only need small pieces of ribbon and you can coordinate
similar colors. For sachets, use a scrap of lace that you cut into back
and front heart shapes and sew the lace together. Leave an opening to
stuff with potpourri, then sew up the opening and take a length of ribbon
that’s folded to form the hanger. You can sew the two ends to
the top of the heart for hanging and add some ribbon roses to cover
the ends of the ribbon hanger.
Craft ribbon roses are extremely easy and if you've never tried to
make them, just experiment with scraps of craft ribbon. It’s simply
a matter of just taking a piece of ribbon and overlapping it in ways
that make it look like a rose. The most difficult part is trying to
keep the rose shape after you've formed it with your hands, but pins
may help hold the folds until you can sew the folds closed. Take care
to use matching thread to the ribbon rose color and hide your stitches
as much as possible in the flaps so they're not too noticeable.
